No-Cost Online GED Course

Wednesday March 14, 2007
Many online colleges require that applicants finish high school or have a GED before being admitted. If you need to complete this requirement, you’re in luck. A new website, GEDforFree (off-site link), is offering a free online course to prepare students to pass the GED exam. According to the site:
"The GED credential is highly regarded by both colleges and employers. In fact, the American Council on Education (ACE) reports that nearly all the employers throughout the nation are prepared to offer the same benefits, wages, and opportunities for advancement to GED graduates as they are to regular high school graduates. This is one reason the GED is referred to as a 'high school equivalency' test."
Be aware that you will still need to pay for the exam itself and that not all colleges accept the GED for admission requirements.

I am a teacher for Pinellas County School in Florida. We are now developing an online GED Class for students who cannot make it into the classroom.

My website, http://www.MYGEDClass.com has some information about this.

I just registered for the “GED for Free” course and had no trouble. It looks like a legitimate site that manages to exist because it carries a lot of ads. Just ignore the ads and I think you will be happy with it. It was probably having start-up problems, but looks okay now.

I also had some problems in finding a right GED course. Considering online Ged school at Belfordhighschool.com is the way to go. It will surely meet your expectations.

(16) rose says:

Nikole, you CANNOT get a GED online. Its against the law. You have to take the test in person at a testing site. Or else how would they know if you weren’t just cheating? You can take prep courses online though and just sign up to take the test somewhere.

(17) Jolitha says:

I don’t think this site is legit! When you fill out the enrollment it doesn’t let you take the test like it says it will after filling out the form. I would like to know why? That’s just a waste of time if you ask me!
