New Profile: Iowa Central College Online

Monday November 24, 2008
A two-year school that focuses on providing job skills and laying the foundation for a bachelor's degree, Iowa Central allows students to complete an associate degree online. The school also has a few correspondence courses, done through the U.S. mail. Students take two eight-week online courses at a time. The school has a strict attendance policy for online learners: At least one contribution to a discussion thread twice a week is required to receive credit. For full participation credit, Iowa Central students must take part in class four days a week. The curriculum focuses on the basics in business, computers, law enforcement and the health professions.
