Online Learning for Students Affected by Hurricane Sandy

By October 28, 2012

As the east coast watches and waits to see what happens with Hurricane Sandy, school may be the last thing on the mind. However, it is comforting to note that historically organizations have worked together to help keep students' educations on track even if they can't immediately return to their brick-and-mortar schools.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, students were offered a variety of distance learning options including taking tuition-free courses online and getting special permission for late enrollments. Hopefully, such resources won't be needed after this storm passes, but it's nice to know that the country can come together to help make sure students are taken care of when it's needed.
