One of the most disheartening things that happens in my online classes around this time of year is watching the no-shows. Inevitably, there are always a couple of online students that are on my rolls but don't log in or only complete an assignment or two before disappearing for the rest of the semester.

At my university, I have no way of withdrawing the students myself and I know I'll end up having to fail these no-shows in just a few months.

There are always legitimate reasons to drop a class - health problems, finances, family issues, lack of time, etc. But, if you're going to quit, make sure you do it the right way. Here's how to quit without damaging your educational future.
