The college later launched its accelerated online degrees for students from across the globe. Undergraduates usually complete two courses during each 5.5-week session. Graduate students usually take one class per session. Students are encouraged to virtually attend live lectures that feature online student discussions, but class sessions may also be viewed later.

Colorado Technical University Online Accreditation:

Colorado Technical University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a regional accreditor.

Colorado Technical University Online Degrees and Programs:

Colorado Technical University Online offers associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in business, health care, criminal justice and information technology. All can be completed entirely online. Each degree usually requires 15 months of study, but students with previous college, military or relevant work experience usually can transfer lower-level credits or certifications to earn their undergraduate degrees in less time. Students earning at least a 3.0 GPA in bachelor's programs may also replace two undergraduate classes with master's-level courses, allowing completion of a graduate degree 11 weeks sooner.

Associate degree programs include accounting, business administration, criminal justice, information technology, medical billing/coding, paralegal and general studies. Bachelor's degrees are available in accounting, business administration, criminal justice and information technology. The Master of Business Administration offers a variety of concentrations including dispute resolution, health care and technology management. An Executive MBA program is also available. A master's degree in management offers concentrations in business management, criminal justice, project management, systems security and technology management.

Colorado Technical University Online Admissions:

Prospective students submit an online application form with a $50 application fee, interview over the telephone with an admission adviser and send proof of high school graduation or equivalent (or baccalaureate transcript for prospective graduate students). Undergraduate candidates who do not speak English as a native language must score above 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, and graduate candidates must score more than 550. Admitted students can begin in any of the eight 5.5-week sessions.

Colorado Technical University Online Costs:

Colorado Tech students usually complete a 15-month associate degree in their field before beginning their 15-month bachelor's program. The school also offers a few $500 scholarships.
