The ability to handle two three-credit courses per semester can enable Gonzaga University Online students to make steady progress toward a highly regarded master's degree. Gonzaga was recently ranked third among master's universities in the West by US News and World Report. Gonzaga students can finish a Master of Science in nursing or a Master of Arts in organizational leadership or communication and leadership within two years. Gonzaga generally enrolles about 20 students per class, split into virtual discussion groups of 10 each. Students must finish their studies within five years. Distance-learning students in all disciplines are required to convene on campus once.

Gonzaga University Online Degrees and Programs:

Gonzaga University Online's Master of Science in nursing branches off into health systems leadership or nurse educator specializations. It can be completed within two years, helping registered nurses climb the ranks into administrative and educational positions. The program pays special attention to institutional safety. The university has two business-minded graduate disciplines. One is the Master of Arts in organizational leadership, called a "Best Value" by US News & World Report. If candidates earn 12 additional credits on the leadership track, they can qualify for the servant leadership certificate. The other master's is in communication and leadership. The track focuses on problem-solving from the top down in business and in the community, and has been known to launch the careers of communication consultants. A thesis option is open  for doctorate seekers.

Gonzaga University Online Admissions:

To lay the groundwork for admission, students must have a four-year bachelor's degree, an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and "satisfactory" scores on exams such as the GRE, GMAT or MAT. International students will need to pass muster on the TOEFL exam. Students can transfer up to a fifth of the number of units required for a degree, but that can vary.

Gonzaga University Online Costs:

Graduate students pay $710 per credit hour, plus a $50 application fee. Applicants can check out financial-aid options by calling (866) 295-3105 or filling out the free application for federal student aid. Doctoral tuition is $765 a credit.
