Saint Leo University Center for Online Learning Academics:

Just in case students feel uncomfortable learning online, Saint Leo University makes the 101 Strategies for Success course a prerequisite in the first term. Many of Saint Leo's associate, bachelor's and master's studies are primarily aimed at building professional competence. The online branch now boasts more than 5,000 graduates from programs in business, law enforcement and technology. No campus visits are required -- just a computer with the right specs and the discipline to learn in a less traditional format. Saint Leo calls its virtual campus iRoar. Students can set their own weekly schedules in keeping with the school's "anytime/anywhere" credo. St. Leo doesn't put on the brakes for students seeking to further accelerate their studies. Two courses per term, the equivalent of 12 credits in a 16-week semester on campus, is deemed full-time. But students can take an additional course as long as they maintain a 3.0 grade point average. Those with less than a 3.0 can petition with a one-page essay. Academic advisors are available for everyone.

Saint Leo University Center for Online Learning awards an Associate of Arts in business administration, a general Associate of Arts for continued higher education, a Bachelor of Arts in accounting to compete for entry-level jobs, a Bachelor of Science in accounting, a Bachelor of Science in healthcare management, a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with accounting and management concentrations, a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice to ascend the administrative ranks of law enforcement,  and a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems.

Saint Leo University Center for Online Learning Admissions:

Gaining entrance into the university requires a high school diploma or GED, plus transcripts for any standardized college and advanced-placement tests. Credits transferred from a university abroad must be evaluated by an accredited agency. Other certifications required for additional transfer credit include nursing licensure for the nursing program, official documentation of FBI or police training for criminal justice and proof of armed service. Saint Leo does not redeem work experience for credit hours.

Saint Leo University Center for Online Learning Costs:

Saint Leo's rate is $440 per credit hour, $250 for active military, both of which can be partly or wholly subsidized by several forms of financial aid. Retired and active members of the armed forces and their spouses and dependents must provide a military ID card or notarized proof of affiliation to pay the reduced military rate of tuition.
