Armed Forces Tuition Assistance

Veterans of the Armed Forces often qualify for tuition assistance programs at online universities.
Army Tuition Assistance
Just about all active-duty soldiers can receive up to $4,500 a year in tuition assistance for an online college accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-approved agency.
Air Force Tuition Assistance
The online college courses of active airmen may be subsidized in full by Air Force Tuition Assistance. Students must take their classes during off-duty hours at an accredited and approved distance-learning university or trade school.
Navy Tuition Assistance
Active-duty sailors can get a fully subsidized education with tuition assistance, as long as their course loads don't exceed 16 semester hours or 24 quarter hours per year.
Marine Tuition Assistance
Active-duty Marine personnel can enroll in a fully funded college degree program with tuition assistance.
Coast Guard Tuition Assistance
Even if Coast Guard personnel are already receiving educational loans, they're still eligible for tuition assistance for college, including distance learning, for up to $250 per semester credit hour and $166 per quarter credit hour.
