Will students who graduate from online high schools be able to go to college?

By Jamie Littlefield, About.com

Question: Will students who graduate from online high schools be able to go to college?
Answer: If a student graduates from an accredited online school, he will have as good a chance of getting into college as a student from a traditional, typical public school. If the online school is not accredited, colleges may reject the diploma or require the student to prove their knowledge in another way (standardized testing, for example). Be wary of unaccredited online schools. If you do choose a school like this, be sure to check the requirements of any potential colleges prior to paying tuition.
