Ashford University Academics:

Ashford University is an Iowa college offering online associates, bachelors and masters programs in an accelerated format. Ashford students take only one course at a time, and each course lasts between five and six weeks. Transfer students are permitted to apply up to 99 credits to their degrees, making it possible for some to graduate in a year or two.

Ashford University Accreditation:

Ashford University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a regional accreditor.

Ashford University Degrees and Programs:

Ashford University has only online associate’s degree program: the Associate of Arts in Business. Students may also choose from online bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Psychology, Organizational Management, Social and Criminal Justice, and Social Science with an Education concentration. Ashford’s online master’s programs include: Business Administration, Organizational Management, and Teaching and Learning with Technology.

Ashford University Admissions:

All prospective Ashford applicants must meet basic English language proficiency requirements. Students seeking online associate or bachelor degrees must have a high school diploma or GED. Those applying to bachelor programs must also be 22 or older. Master’s degree applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Ashford University Costs:

Ashford University’s undergraduate students pay $257-$330 per credit hour and a one-time $999 Technology Services Fee. Graduate students pay $432-$480 per credit hour. Eligible students may also receive federal financial aid such as grants and student loans.

Interesting Fact:

Ashford University has a long and rich history. First established in 1918 as Mount St. Clare College, it offered many Iowans the opportunity to receive higher education. The school was purchased by a for-profit company (Bridgepoint Education, Inc.) in 2005.
