Grand Canyon University is a brick-and-mortar Christian school offering online degrees in the fields of education, business, nursing / health science, and liberal arts. Students enrolled in Grand Canyon University Online complete two courses each semester, focusing on only one course for each half-semester period. Students may complete their work at any time before the scheduled deadlines; however, they are expected to log into their Grand Canyon University Online classroom at least four times a week.

Students enrolling in Grand Canyon University Online may choose from undergraduate and graduate programs in four primary fields: education, business, nursing / health science, and liberal arts. Notable bachelor degree programs include elementary education, nursing, business administration, applied management, marketing, English literature, and communications. Notable graduate degrees include: M.A. in Teaching, M.S. in Nursing Education, M.B.A in Finance, and M.B.A in Leadership. The Grand Canyon College of Entrepreneurship offers a unique business program taught by "entrepreneur-teachers."

Undergraduate applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED. They are also encouraged to have work experience. Graduate applicants must have an accredited bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. They must also have at least two years of full-time work experience. Some graduate programs have additional requirements for applicants.

New online courses begin every two months. Grand Canyon University Online notifies potential students of admissions decisions 1-3 days after receiving completed applications.

Undergraduate students at Grand Canyon University Online pay $395 per credit. The majority of graduate students pay $420 per credit. Online students enrolled in nursing graduate programs pay $510 per credit. Those working towards an eBMA degree pay $44,000 for the complete program. Federal financial aid is available to qualifying students.
