TESC is known as one of the big three colleges that make it convenient for students to transfer previously earned credits, receive credit via testing, and earn credit for life experience. Classes are offered online and through independent study.Thomas Edison State College Accreditation:
TESC is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, a regional accreditor. Its nursing programs have further accreditation from the New Jersey Board of Nursing and the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.Thomas Edison State College Degrees and Programs:
At TESC students can enroll in one of seventeen different degree programs, and choose from over one hundred areas of study. The college has many associate and bachelor degree programs in majors such as health, business, humanities, science, and technology. TESC offers five master degree programs in educational leadership, liberal studies, management, human resources management, and nursing. There are also a several graduate and undergraduate certificate programs available.Thomas Edison State College Undergraduate Admissions:
Prospective students who are twenty-one years or older and have a high school diploma (or a GED) will be admitted to TESCs undergraduate programs. Students do not need to take the SAT, ACT, or any other admissions exam. International students from non-English speaking countries must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test. There are no application deadlines because TESC has twelve terms a year (one starting each month).Thomas Edison State College Graduate Admissions:
Thomas Edison State Colleges graduate programs are competitive. Prospective graduate students must have a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited university. They must submit a personal statement, an essay, two letters of recommendation, a resume, and college transcripts. There are four graduate application deadlines during the year.Thomas Edison State College Costs:
TESCs comprehensive tuition plan covers up to thirty-six undergraduate credits each year. First year New Jersey residents pay $4300; out-of-state residents pay $6150. For subsequent years, New Jersey residents pay $3580 and out-of-state residents pay $5350. There is also an ala carte tuition program for students taking fewer credits.Graduate tuition is $440 a credit, plus fees.
Federal financial aid is available for qualified students attending Thomas Edison State College.
