The University of Massachusetts Online offers virtual degree programs from respected and established traditional colleges. Students can enroll in online classes from University of Massachusetts campuses such as Dartmouth, Amherst, Boston, Lowell, and Worcester. Many online programs can be completed with no residency.
UMassOnline Accreditation:
The University of Massachusetts campuses (except Worcester) are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, a regional accreditor. Many individual programs are also accredited by discipline-specific accrediting agencies.
UMassOnline Degrees and Programs:
At the University of Massachusetts Online, students can earn an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology. They can choose from one of ten bachelor degrees in fields such as liberal arts, technology, health care, and education. Or, they can earn one of seventeen master’s degrees in fields like health, business, and education. The online MBA program is particularly well-regarded. There are also twenty-eight graduate and undergraduate certificate programs available.
UMassOnline Admissions:
Program admissions vary depending on the degree and campus students select. Anyone with a high school diploma or GED may enroll in online classes before being admitted to a program. Prospective graduate students must have a bachelor’s degree before being admitted to any graduate program.
UMassOnline Costs:
Tuition charges vary depending on the campus and type of course students choose. Most undergraduate classes cost between $165 and $800 each. Graduate courses cost between $600 and $1850 each. There is no discount for in-state residents. Qualifying students may receive federal financial aid to help cover the cost of their UMassOnline education.
Interesting Fact:
Students wanting to test the waters may take courses from any of the UMassOnline campuses at the same time, even before they’ve been admitted to a program.
