Talk, Talk, Talk
- I've noticed that my pre-teens sometimes have hurt feelings when I ask not to be disturbed. Everything goes much more smoothly around my house when I spend time talking to them and explaining what I'm doing and why I need their help to be successful. I actually think that I'm a good example to them of how they should study and take their education seriously.

Hire a Babysitter
- Although I'm a stay-at-home mom, I have a ton of responsibilities including feeding a house of 5, shuffling the kiddos to and from practice, and doing the lion's share of the housework. I struggled to complete my first semester of online classes while dealing with supervising the kids at the same time. Finally, I made the best decision: I hired a babysitter. For a few hours each week I get the peace and quiet I need to get my online class homework done. Definitely worth it!
